Surgery Safety & Patient Care

Your comfort and safety are at the heart of everything we do. From the moment you meet our team to the day of your procedure, our priority is delivering exceptional care built on trust, transparency, and the highest surgical standards.

Chad Christiansen, MD
Anesthesiologist

Chad Christiansen MD brings a thoughtful and steady presence to every procedure. A graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin, he completed his anesthesia training at the University of Utah and has made Salt Lake his lifelong home. As a Utah native he grew up skiing these mountains and still spends many weekends on the slopes with his two daughters.

In the operating room Chad is known for his precision. He approaches every case with a meticulous mindset that shows in the way he talks with patients, answers questions, and checks each safety parameter with complete focus. Colleagues trust his consistency, and patients feel it too. His skill with IV placement, his calm manner, and his careful monitoring all contribute to an exceptionally smooth and comfortable wake up experience.

Chad’s blend of technical expertise and genuine warmth makes him an invaluable part of the care team. Patients often comment on how reassured they felt in his hands, and that is exactly why we love working with him.

Dedicated Anesthesiology Care

A board-certified anesthesiologist is present for every surgical case. This is a premium level of safety, not all practices provide this. Your anesthesiologist monitors your comfort, breathing, heart function, and vital signs throughout the entire procedure. Their sole focus is your safety, allowing Dr. Keen to focus entirely on surgical excellence.

We follow strict protocols that include:

• comprehensive pre-operative assessments

• customized anesthesia planning

• sterile technique at every step

• modern monitoring systems

• detailed post-operative instructions and support

Our Commitment to Safety

Every surgical procedure is performed in an accredited facility designed to meet rigorous standards for cleanliness, technology, and emergency preparedness. Accreditation ensures our operating environment meets the same safety benchmarks you would expect at a hospital, while offering the privacy and personalized attention of a boutique practice.

Comfort, Trust, and Excellence

Choosing surgery is a significant decision. Our goal is to make the process feel safe, smooth, and supported from start to finish. With accredited facilities, a dedicated anesthesiologist, and a team committed to exceptional care, you can feel confident knowing you’re in the best hands.

A Patient-Centered Experience

A "Superior Patient Care" isn’t just a phrase—it guides every decision we make.

We take time to understand your goals, your concerns, and your expectations so your treatment plan feels clear, personalized, and empowering.

From your first consultation to your final follow-up, our team is here to answer questions, offer reassurance, and support you throughout your entire surgical journey.

  • Some patients have excess body fat in the upper arm. If you feel like your proportions need adjusting, liposuction is the perfect procedure.

  • Liposuction works extremely well to get rid of excess fat in the upper arms. If your skin has good elasticity this may be the right operation, but typically patients will need a combination of fat contouring and skin removal.

  • Scars are placed along the inside of your arm and armpit. The length of the scar depends on the amount of skin needing removal. This location is difficult to hide, and while scars heal, they can remain quite visible. For some people with a significant amount of excess tissue, this trade-off is very acceptable.

  • You will typically need to wear a compression garment for at least 2 weeks after surgery. You will be able to do light activity immediately. You may have a drain in each arm. Many people return to work after one week. We request you avoid strenuous activity for 2-4 weeks. There will be swelling and bruising that will improve over the first month.
